AmFirst expands with new building in Birmingham

AmFirst has acquired a 48,000-square-foot, newly renovated office building in Birmingham, just three blocks from its corporate headquarters. The building will allow the credit union to meet expanding membership needs, said AmFirst in a release.

The building, at 110 12th St. N., previously was occupied by Pack Health. In the 1990s, it served as a city-supported entrepreneurial incubator and later it housed UAB’s Office for the Advancement of Developing Industries.

“We’re thrilled to continue our investment in Birmingham, the city that has been home to our headquarters for more than 45 years,” said Kevin Morris, president and CEO of AmFirst. “As we approach our 90th anniversary this year, this expansion is about equipping our staff with the resources they need to serve our members even better, while also providing new opportunities for community partnerships and events.”…
