A luxury apparel brand has closed its Birmingham location and laid off staff — for the second time in the past month.
Louis Vuitton is a luxury retailer that was founded in 1854 by a French box maker and entrepreneur of the same name. The high-end brand is known for leather goods, clothes, jewelry, accessories and more.
As documented on the Alabama Department of Workforce site, a WARN notice filed on Feb. 19 notes that Louis Vuitton has already shuttered its Birmingham location as of Feb. 17. The location was the brand’s only Alabama store, and it’s already been removed from the brand’s online store locator…
