Woman identified after reported accidental shooting in Trussville

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — A 22-year-old woman was fatally injured in a reported accidental shooting on Saturday night, March 7, 2026, inside a home on the 7700 block of Deer Trail in Trussville, according to information gathered from Jefferson County Chief Deputy Coroner William Yates and Trussville Police Lt. Clint Riner.

Riner said the call was received at approximately 9:30 p.m. TPD Officers were dispatched to assist the Trussville Fire Department with a medical call involving a gunshot wound.

2 killed in Ensley crash identified

The woman was identified as Whitney Harlow Robeson, 22, of Henrico, Virginia. According to Yates, Robeson sustained a gunshot wound during what was reported to be an accidental shooting. The victim was transported to UAB-St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, where she was pronounced dead at 10:49 p.m…
