TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WSFA) – A jury is seated and opening statements are underway Monday in the capital murder trial of Ibraheem Yazeed, who is charged in the 2019 kidnapping and killing of Aniah Blanchard.
After five days, jury selection for the trial concluded Friday with a final panel of 12 jurors and four alternates selected.
Yazeed is accused of killing Blanchard, a 19-year-old Homewood native, in October 2019 while he was out of jail on bond for other violent offenses.
