35-year-old inmate dies after being found unresponsive at Trussville City Jail

TRUSSVILLE, Ala. (WIAT) — An inmate at the Trussville City Jail died hours after being found unresponsive in her cell last week.

According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Keandra Clasha Forbes was found unresponsive in her cell at approximately 10:30 a.m. March 2. Forbes, 35, was then taken to UAB-St. Vincent’s East in Trussville, where she was pronounced dead at 12:13 p.m. the same day.

Forbes’ death was not reported until Monday, March 9, a week after her death…
