BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A proposed AI factory in Birmingham has some people concerned about the impact it could have on their power bills and neighborhoods.
One man claims it would use twice as much electricity as every home in the city of Birmingham. The company behind the factory, Nebius AI, says it expects the facility to open next year. Right now, it’s still going through the process of being approved.
