The former longtime attorney for Birmingham’s regional water utility is taking the board back to court as he accuses them of continuing to defame his reputation.
Mark Parnell in a motion Tuesday evening asked a Jefferson County circuit judge to muzzle Central Alabama Water leaders who he said are blaming him for alleged problems at the utility they took over nearly a year ago.
“Mark wants to be left alone,” his attorney John Somerville told AL.com Wednesday. “He resolved his claims, but they keep dragging him in by blaming prior management unfairly. Everyone in Birmingham knows Mark was prior management. Not only is it unfair for them to blame prior management, it is incorrect.”…
