Shame, backstabbing, blindsiding: Can a new tradition replace the Alabama Butterbean Fest?

A Pinson city council member called out the Clay Pinson Chamber of Commerce for “backstabbing” and blindsiding them with the cancellation of the beloved Alabama Butterbean Festival amid a funding dispute.

During a Friday evening Pinson council meeting, officials unanimously agreed to look into putting on their own festival. And Clay leadership said they may have to figure out how to move forward without the chamber of commerce as a partner.
