JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A Jefferson County man was arrested and charged with theft of AT&T cable, following an encounter with a detective.
On March 13, detectives with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office were notified of a possible AT&T cable theft in 1400 block of Warrior Jasper Rd.
A detective in the area observed a suspect in a gold Impala traveling towards a downed section of AT&T cable on the side of the road. The detective perused the suspect to investigate, but the suspect was able to escape.
