JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) – The effort to make driving safer on one stretch of interstate in west Alabama is underway.
The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is clearing trees and brush on I-59/20 between exit 76 and the Jefferson County line.
Since February, ALDOT has been cutting evasive brush and dying trees on the right of way and in the median across from Mercedes-Benz in Vance.
ALDOT administrators feel that will cut down on deer crossing the interstate and drivers hitting them…
