JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WKRC) — Two women in Alabama have been indicted in the starvation death of a child, reports WBRC.
The Jefferson County coroner ruled 5-year-old Jaedah Robinson’s death last fall a homicide. AL.com reports that Robinson was taken to Children’s of Alabama in October, but died in the hospital later that same day.
Thirty-four-year-old Raven Rogers, the girl’s mother, and 30-year-old Saiyah Ferguson are accused of causing Robinson’s death. An indictment states that Rogers failed to provide adequate nutrition and medical care for the girl and that Ferguson, who lived in the same home as Rogers and Robinson, participated in the aggravated child abuse or neglect that led to the girl’s death…
