Man shot to death when cousin’s gun accidentally fired in Bessemer, records say: ‘He will not be forgotten’

A 22-year-old man killed in Bessemer was shot when a relative pulled a gun out of his waistband and it discharged, according to newly released court records.

The shooting happened at 11:18 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of 30th Street South.
