A Catholic priest who served as pastor of Holy Infant of Prague Church in Trussville from 1993-2004, overseeing a move from a cramped lot next to First Baptist to a new campus on U.S. 11 north of Deerfoot Parkway, has died in his native Ireland.
The Rev. Patrick “Paddy” O’Donoghue died on March 10. He was 88.
He was born Oct. 27, 1937, in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. He was ordained in 1961 in Ireland and was assigned to teach religion at Bishop Toolen High School in Mobile.
