Local mental health & recovery center breaks ground on new Shelby County facility

On Thursday, April 2, Longleaf Recovery and Wellness broke ground on Longleaf Lodge—a state-of-the-art, 60-bed residential substance use treatment facility in Shelby County. The new facility will be among the few licensed non-hospital facilities in Alabama to accept commercial insurance for residential treatment.

Founded in 2021, Longleaf Recovery & Wellness is a behavioral health organization operating multiple outpatients across Alabama.
