WIELDED STEEL isn’t looking to make friends with Sins Of Your Domain, a violent fusion of death metal and hardcore. “I’ve got a lot of feelings when it comes to the word deathcore,” notes vocalist Jesse Clark. “It’s used to describe every stadium band that tries to tune their guitar the lowest and have the longest breakdown possible.” But the group doesn’t like that sound, citing bands like Internal Bleeding or Irate as inspiration.
“That sound has evolved over time,” adds drummer Cyrus Patel. “We started out somewhere between death metal and hardcore, but we’ve been quietly adding more and more death metal influences as we’ve progressed.”…
