BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Attorney J. Mason Davis Jr. is being remembered after he died over the weekend.
The 90-year old man, who died on Saturday, is being remembered for his role in helping to dismantle segregation in Alabama. Davis is also being honored how he gave of himself by serving as a lifelong volunteer and advocate for United Way of Central Alabama.
Retired presiding Circuit Court for Jefferson County Judge Houston Brown said he clerked for Davis while he was in law school. The two also practiced law together for a while.
