BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A family including two adults and one teenager has died following a house fire in Birmingham early Wednesday morning.

The fire happened at a house on Avenue K around 2:45 a.m. and was contained to one home. Edward Hicks, Farintina Pleshette Hicks and Laila Nichole Hicks were all taken to UAB Hospital, where they were pronounced dead just before 4 a.m.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time…
