BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Alabama at Birmingham Division of Transplantation now offers liver transplantation for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, making it one of only a few programs of its kind in the Southeast.
The program started in 2024 and treats patients whose liver tumors cannot be removed through traditional surgery.
