A late-night call for help in Wilsonville led Shelby County sheriff’s deputies to two people suffering from gunshot wounds, with both patients transported to UAB for treatment.
Shelby County 911 received a call at about 9:05 p.m. May 16, 2026, requesting an ambulance for a possible gunshot wound in the area of Cherokee Drive in Wilsonville. The caller reported the patient ran to his residence seeking help.
