Boynton Beach felon convicted after setting drug filled car on fire during investigation

MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A federal jury has convicted a Boynton Beach man after prosecutors say he set a vehicle loaded with drugs and a firearm on fire while law enforcement officers stood nearby during a Palm Beach County drug trafficking investigation, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Willie James Skipper Jr, 42, was found guilty on multiple federal charges, including drug trafficking, firearm offenses and arson. According to the DOJ, the vehicle was found to contain fentanyl disguised as oxycodone pills, cash, crack cocaine, and a firearm.
