Islanders, look up tonight, because Key Biscayne may just be the perfect place in all of South Florida to catch a once-in-a-rare-while celestial event.

Tonight, Saturday, May 30, into the early hours of Sunday, May 31, South Florida skies will be treated to a rare Blue Micromoon. It’s the second full moon of May, which technically earns it the “blue moon” definition, but what makes this one extra special is that it’s also the most distant full moon of the entire year.
