One person arrested following hit-and-run incident in Florida

FLORIDA — A man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that left a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy hospitalized Friday evening in Fort Lauderdale.

According to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, 40-year-old Sean Alexis was taken into custody with assistance from the Plantation Police Department and booked into the Broward County Main Jail.

Authorities said Alexis faces multiple charges, including hit-and-run involving serious bodily injury, hit-and-run involving property damage and driving with a suspended or revoked license…
