Passenger killed after golf cart, car collide near Military Trail

LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A passenger in a golf cart died days after a crash involving a Toyota Camry in Lake Worth, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened at about 10:29 a.m. on Wednesday at Military Trail and Canal Drive. Investigators said a 2017 Toyota Camry was traveling east on Canal Drive and turning left onto northbound Military Trail when it collided with a 2013 Club Car golf cart that was exiting a parking lot at 7540 Military Trail and attempting to cross Military Trail toward Canal Drive.

According to the sheriff’s office, the front passenger corner of the Camry struck the front driver’s side of the golf cart in the median of Military Trail. A passenger in the golf cart, identified as 73-year-old Guillermo Lopez, was ejected…
