Lake Worth woman accused of cocaine use during probation ordered to treatment evaluation

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A Lake Worth Beach woman accused of violating probation after testing positive for cocaine appeared in court Thursday for a plea conference, where a judge ordered a substance-abuse evaluation before the case proceeds.

Shelley Kay Weidler, 58, appeared in custody before Judge Scott Suskauer during a plea conference related to her probation violation case. Court records show the previously scheduled violation-of-probation hearing was canceled, and the matter was addressed as a plea conference instead.

During the hearing, the judge approved an order directing the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to transport Weidler to the Drug Abuse Foundation in Delray Beach for an evaluation for residential treatment. She will be returned to custody following the assessment…
