A Florida man who said he was only trying to make a little extra cash with two personal jet skis found out that renting them through Facebook Marketplace came with more rules than he expected.
In bodycam footage shared by Arrest Cam Fish and Wildlife, Florida Fish and Wildlife officers responded after a Broward Sheriff’s Office marine unit encountered two men riding rented jet skis and learned that the person who supplied them may have been operating outside the law.
The case began with what looked like a simple two-hour rental. It ended with citations, warnings, a court case, a warrant after the man failed to appear, and eventually a no-contest plea that cost him hundreds of dollars…
