A day of heavy drinking that began with several breakfast mimosas ended behind bars for a man who fled a disturbance at a home in The Villages.
Sumter County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched at about 8 p.m. Thursday to a residence on Birmingham Terrace in the Village of St. Charles.
A 911 caller told dispatchers that 26-year-old Cameron Robert Rakyta of Delray Beach had been drinking heavily. The caller noted that Rakyta’s alcohol consumption started early that morning with several mimosas at breakfast and continued non-stop throughout the day. Following the disturbance, Rakyta fled the home in a white Subaru Crosstrek.
