Suspect Allegedly Recorded Incident On GoPro. Now In Evidence.
BocaNewsNow.com obtained the arrest report which says police first spotted Bazzi riding a black E-Ride Pro electric motorcycle on a sidewalk near West Palmetto Park Road and NW 4th Avenue. Officers say he had no license plate on the vehicle, crossed over a solid double yellow line into oncoming lanes, and wasn’t wearing eye protection. When officers activated their lights and sirens and gave verbal commands to stop, Bazzi allegedly looked at them, hesitated, then sped off.
Police say Bazzi continued west before cutting through the grass and into the parking lot of St. Paul Lutheran School, riding the electric motorcycle toward the rear of the campus. Officers tracked him down and detained him behind the school. Investigators determined Bazzi did not have a motorcycle endorsement on his license, the E-Moto was not registered, and he had no legitimate reason to be on school property.
Bazzi was charged with fleeing and eluding, trespassing on school grounds, operating a motorcycle without an endorsement, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. Police say Bazzi was carrying a GoPro camera that was recording during the incident, and it was submitted into evidence. A court date is set for August…
