>> At 1:40 pm PBSO Deputies responded to 15000 block of Jackson Rd. Unincorporated, Delray Beach in reference to a welfare check. Upon arrival Deputies encountered a male holding a shotgun.
Upon seeing the Deputies, the suspect raised a shotgun pointing it at the Deputies. One of the Deputies fired his weapon, striking the suspect.
The Deputies rendered aid to the suspect until PBCFR arrived. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for his injuries. FDLE Investigators and the State’s Attorney’s Office Investigators responded to the scene. FDLE will be handling the investigation. This investigation is open and ongoing.
