BocaNewsNow.com obtained the arrest report which states deputies responded around 6:05 a.m. Saturday to a 911 call reporting a carjacking. The victim told deputies she had just gotten into the driver’s seat of a gray Kia when Mora opened the door, said “they are going to kill me,” and began pulling her from the vehicle while choking her. The victim said she felt like she was going to pass out before she was forcibly pulled free. As she was dragged from the car, her cell phone fell to the roadway, and she was able to retrieve it before Mora drove off in the stolen Kia.
Deputies tracked the stolen vehicle through the License Plate Reader system as it traveled through Delray Beach before heading back toward Boynton Beach. Around 7:06 a.m., deputies located the Kia near Gateway Boulevard and Congress Avenue and conducted a felony traffic stop, taking Mora into custody without incident. The victim was brought to the scene and positively identified Mora as her attacker, telling investigators she did not know her and wanted to pursue criminal charges. The victim was treated at the scene for scratches and abrasions to her neck.
Mora was taken to the PBSO Violent Crimes Division for questioning and later booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on charges of carjacking without a weapon and aggravated battery by strangulation. She was released on $11,000 bond and will appear in court in August…
