LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Lake Worth man is accused of stealing a golf cart, and then assaulting the maintenance supervisor upon his return, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
PBSO says that on Wednesday, deputies were called to 2981 S Florida Mango Road in Lake Worth in reference to a disturbance in progress. They were told by the maintenance supervisor of the community that a resident had taken a golf cart and battered the supervisor — who gave a sworn statement regarding the alleged theft, and battering — when he returned.
According to PBSO, when they arrived, they encountered David Benzynski, 59, who immediately began acting belligerent, and deputies could smell the odor of alcohol coming from Benzynski’s body. The affidavit also states that deputies noticed Benzynski was slurring his words and had an unsteady gait…
