BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A Boynton Beach man already facing a felony retail theft charge was arrested Sunday after police said he discarded a suspected crack cocaine pipe and then offered an officer $400 to let him go.
Boynton Beach police responded at about 9:45 a.m. Aug. 23 to an alarm call at a home on South Palm Drive, where officers said Michael Bernard Woods, 36, had been banging on his sister’s door.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, Woods walked away from an officer and threw a burnt glass pipe containing Chore Boy onto the ground. Investigators said the item is commonly used to smoke crack cocaine. Woods was detained, and the pipe was recovered as evidence…
