LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Lake Worth Beach commissioners did not take a vote on a new policing contract with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office during Tuesday’s meeting, but one commissioner used the closing comments to signal that immigration enforcement remains a central concern as the agreement returns for consideration.
Commissioner Christopher McVoy said the city has a legal basis to limit the use of local law enforcement resources for federal immigration enforcement.
