SEBASTIAN – The Community Redevelopment Board here awarded an initial $285,368.50 contract Aug. 19 to B&Z Diving Services of Boca Raton for dredging the Main Street Boat Ramp area and stabilizing the shoreline next to the Swing and Bench Park.
Procurement Manager Jessica Graham reminded CRA members during her presentation – who are actually City Council members wearing different hats – that the work was actually two separate projects funded in part by separate Florida Inland Navigation District grants.
“We’re here for ITB 26-17, which was the Main Street Boat Ramp Dredging and Swing and Bench Shoreline restoration,” she said. “The procurement division issued a bid back on June 4. We did receive eight bids, although four were marked non-responsive in that they did not follow several requirements listed in the bid. So, the lowest bidder after the evaluation was B&Z Diving Services, and they do business as B&Z Construction.”…
