According to PBSO traffic homicide investigators, the driver was headed eastbound on 10th Avenue North and passed a slower-moving car. Pulling back into the outside lane, the vehicle side-swiped a pedestrian walking on or near the fog line. The impact launched him into the air and into a nearby aluminum fence. He came to rest on the sidewalk on the south side of the road. The driver never stopped, continuing eastbound and leaving the man where he fell.
Investigators believe Vehicle 1 is possibly a 2003 to 2007 Black Honda Accord, though its tag and driver remain unknown. The vehicle will have pedestrian collision damage to the front passenger quarter panel, front passenger wheel well, passenger side mirror and passenger door window, according to PBSO. The victim had not yet been identified.
