STUART, Fla. (CBS12) — A Lake Worth man is facing charges after deputies say he stole liquor from a Martin County store, then drove recklessly into Palm Beach County before being taken into custody.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Derwyn Don Edwards entered the Publix liquor store at 6805 SE Federal Highway around 11:24 a.m. on Sept. 26 and stole multiple bottles of liquor.
The retailer provided deputies with a description of Edwards and the vehicle he was driving. A deputy located the vehicle near SE Dominica Terrace and Federal Highway and attempted a traffic stop, but authorities said Edwards failed to stop and continued driving recklessly…
