The latest weather forecasts from meteorological experts have put parts of the Southeast on high alert as a slight risk of severe thunderstorms is expected to unfold on Monday. This weather event is anticipated to affect an area spanning 87,166 square miles, home to approximately 9.7 million residents. Major urban centers within the risk zone include Jacksonville, FL; Atlanta, GA; Montgomery, AL; Columbus, GA; and Tallahassee, FL, raising concerns over potential wind damage and tornado threats.

In addition to the slight risk areas, a marginal risk has been identified over an adjacent region covering 79,729 square miles with a population of over 13 million people. This includes cities such as Birmingham, AL; Mobile, AL; Chattanooga, TN; Gainesville, FL; and Columbia, SC, where residents should also brace for possible thunderstorm impacts.
