WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) – A woman who claimed a “tree had fallen on her vehicle” was arrested for a West Palm Beach hit and run back in November 2023. The arrest report released this week named Elsa Isabel Aquino, 66, as the driver accused of striking and killing 77-year-old Joseph Mele as he crossed South Dixie Highway and Kanuga Drive near the Grato restaurant.
