Palm Beach to close section of North Lake Way for two weeks, starting Sept. 17

Motorists who take North Lake Way to Palm Beach’s far North End may want to look for a new route, as the town will be closing the road at its intersection with Polmer Park Road for two weeks starting Wednesday.

The closure will allow the City of West Palm Beach’s contractor, Johnson-Davis, to carry out emergency repairs to a water main, the town said in a release issued Tuesday.

During the closure, motorists driving southbound will be directed to take a left on West Indies Drive, before taking a right on North County Road, and rejoining North Lake Way by taking a right onto Via Linda, the release states.

Northbound traffic will be directed east on Via Linda to North County Road, then north to West Indies Drive and finally west back to North Lake Way.

Residents of Polmer Park Road will continue to have access to the street, the release said.

Or contact Bob Henning of John-Davis by calling 561-588-1770 ext. 314.
