A Boynton Beach man, identified as Jacob Elijah Groover, has been handed a sentence of over five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. The 26-year-old from Fort Pierce was sentenced on Monday to 70 months to be followed by two years of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Aileen M. Cannon, as confirmed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
