More Than A Dozen WPB Cops May Face Criminal Charges After Firing Of Chief

The alleged financial misconduct within the West Palm Beach Police Department that led to the firing of the police chief may result in criminal charges for several police officers.

Seven cops were placed on administrative leave related to allegations of overtime abuse.

When Mayor Keith James terminated former Chief Frank Adderley earlier this month, he cited financial misconduct and two recent incidents he said he was disappointed about. One stemmed from how police officers responded to a car crash in Boynton Beach.

The State Attorney’s Public Corruption Unit is looking into possible criminal charges against more than a dozen officers.

Adderley denies knowing anything about financial misconduct and turning a blind eye to it.
