PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) – A swimmer was pronounced dead after a rough surf rescue near Boynton Beach Inlet on Sunday morning. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) reported that at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Manalapan Police Department received a call from someone who said a swimmer was in distress about a quarter of a mile north of a non-lifeguard-protected area at the Boynton Beach Inlet.
