Nearly a year has passed since What Now reported on the upcoming Man Ray , a spinoff of Dada , the Delray Beach Restaurant from Subculture Group . Headed up by Rodney Mayo , Subculture Group is also known for concepts like Kapow! Noodle Bar , La Maquina , and Penelope .
We’re still waiting on news of the Man Ray opening, and if it’s anything like Dada—which has an anything-goes menu that ranges from appetizers like Local Fish Crudo to Entrees like Pork Schnitzel, Gnocchi Amatriciana, and Dada Meatloaf—it’s going to be a real treat.
But that’s not the only project Subculture Coffee still has coming down the pipeline. A quick visit to Subculture Group’s website shows not one but two restaurants now marked “Coming Soon.”
The other is Shaker & Pie , a concept the Subculture website describes simply as offering “pizza and craft cocktails”—that is to say, two of the best things in the world. The restaurant has a long history, as it was originally conceived in 2015 in partnership with PF Hospitality Group . Then, it went on a five-year hiatus before being rebirthed in more recent years, still planned for Mizner Park .
