Three people found shot to death after welfare check on Pompano Beach home

Three people were found shot to death inside of a Pompano Beach home after a welfare check Wednesday evening, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrived at the home near the 300 block of South Golf Boulevard a little after 7 p.m. to do a welfare check, the Sheriff’s Office said in a media release. They tried several times to “make contact” with anyone inside the home, but no one answered. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue then arrived to forcefully enter the home. When they got inside, they found three people, all dead with gunshot wounds.

Lauren Gultz, a next door neighbor, said that a mother, father and son had been renting the home for about a year, but she didn’t know them well as they rarely walked around the neighborhood. The last time she saw anyone was on Saturday, when the son was rolling out trash cans…
