Fort Lauderdale Residents May Notice Change in Tap Water Color Due to Maintenance at Local Plant

From April 14 to April 20, the Fort Lauderdale Country Club wellfield will undergo maintenance, affecting water service in areas south of Broward Boulevard.

According to the City of Fort Lauderdale website, during this time, water will be rerouted from the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant while the Peele-Dixie Water Treatment Plant is temporarily offline. Residents may notice a change in the color of their tap water, but officials assure that it remains safe to drink.
