Palm Beach Co. man hits $2 million jackpot in scratch-off game

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A West Palm Beach man just became the city’s newest millionaire.

The Florida Lottery revealed Thursday that Joan Gonzalez Tamarit hit the jackpot playing one of its scratch-off games.

The 26-year-old man won the $2 million top prize while playing Silver Streak, the Lottery reported. After his win, he made the trip to Tallahassee to claim his winnings, which he took in one-lump sum, and came home nearly $1.2 million richer.

The winning $10 ticket was purchased at a Publix store, at 828 Southern Boulevard, and the grocery chain will receive $4,000 for selling it…
