Teens nabbed in theft spree after sellers lured on Facebook Marketplace

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (CBS12) — Two teens are behind bars after luring Facebook Marketplace sellers and sprinting off with expensive cameras, four times in a row.

The spree began on April 5 when a victim with a $1,600 camera for sale on Facebook Marketplace was contacted by a potential buyer, Ajani Plummer, 17, using the screen name “Smith Palmer.”

The two met at the 4900 block of Alder Drive at the buyer’s request, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO)…
