Fraudster’s $6k deal sells another company’s equipment for scrap

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man is accused of defrauding a scrap metal company, which led to $16,000 in damages for an excavator business.

The Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) said Jean Mauris Fleurimont, 40, faces criminal mischief and scheme to defraud following an incident involving significant property damage and fraudulent activities in Boynton Beach.

On January 29, the owner of an excavator company discovered two unknown men on his property dismantling one of his excavators for scrap. The men allegedly entered through an open gate, causing approximately $16,000 in damage to the excavator and spilling around 20 gallons of hydraulic oil, resulting in an estimated cleanup cost of $500, according to the arrest report…
