Man arrested after road rage gun incident near Fort Lauderdale airport

A man accused of pointing a gun at a woman and her daughter during a road rage encounter near Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport was arrested Thursday and posted bond on Friday, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

John William Morrissey, 41, turned himself in and appeared before a judge Friday morning on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill.

A judge set his bond at $15,000 per count — $30,000 total — and ordered Morrissey to have no contact with the victims, possess no firearms or ammunition, and not drive unless for work-related purposes…
