BOCA RATON, Fla. (CBS12) — A barge navigating a Boca Raton waterway collided with live power lines, leaving nearby residents briefly without electricity.
The Boca Raton Fire Rescue (BRFR) Public Information Officer told CBS12 News that the barge was traveling in the waterway near 898 Southwest Street at 7:30 a.m. when it struck the active power lines.
