4 Arrested In Florida Keys In Connection With Drugs, Stolen Firearm Following Traffic Stop

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Four men were arrested Saturday evening in the Florida Keys after a traffic stop on U.S. 1 led to the discovery of two handguns, one reported stolen, and illegal drugs. The incident unfolded near Mile Marker 103 when the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office pulled over a Nissan sedan at approximately 7:15 p.m.

The driver, Demerion Altwon Fields, 21, of Greenacres, Florida, was charged with multiple offenses, including driving without a valid driver’s license, grand theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm or ammunition despite being subject to a risk protection order, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Authorities stated that Fields is prohibited from possessing firearms due to a previous extreme risk protection order against him.

Also arrested were Isaiah Dimitris McCrary, 20, of West Palm Beach, Florida; Jimmy Cliff Leger, 21, of Palm Springs, Florida; and Todd Bradley Presendieu, 20, of Lake Worth, Florida…
